Returns & Refunds Policy

Made to Order — Important Notice

Every ControlBase product is manufactured individually to your specification — finish, orientation, and configuration are selected at the time of order and produced on a dedicated production run. Because each unit is custom-made, we do not accept change-of-mind returns or returns where no fault exists with the product.

The face dimensions and orientation of every ControlBase product are stated in full in the product listing. By placing an order, the customer confirms that the listed dimensions have been reviewed and are correct for their requirements. We are not able to accept returns where the product has been manufactured to the stated dimensions but those dimensions are found to be unsuitable for the customer's application after the fact.

Every ControlBase product is manufactured to a dimensional tolerance of ±1mm. If a product is found to be outside this tolerance — that is, if it does not match the dimensions stated in the listing within ±1mm — that is our liability and we will provide a remedy in accordance with this policy. Dimensional complaints must be supported by measurement and reported within 7 days of delivery.

What We Do Accept Returns For

We will accept a return or provide a remedy where:

  • The item arrives damaged in transit if we have arranged shipping
  • The item is defective — a manufacturing fault that affects function or finish to a degree that falls below our production standard
  • The item received does not match the specification ordered — incorrect finish, orientation, or configuration

In all cases, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to report the issue.


How to Report an Issue

Inspect your order upon receipt. If you believe there is a defect, damage, or incorrect item:

  1. Contact us at studio@730design.au within 7 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number and a description of the issue
  3. Attach clear photographs showing the fault or discrepancy

We will assess the issue and respond within 2 business days. Do not return items without first contacting us — items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.


Our Remedy

Where a valid fault is confirmed, our remedy will be one of the following at our discretion:

  • Replacement — a replacement unit manufactured to the correct specification
  • Repair — where the fault is minor and can be remedied without replacement
  • Refund — where replacement or repair is not practicable

Refunds, where approved, will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.


What We Do Not Accept

  • Change-of-mind returns
  • Returns where the product matches the specification ordered and arrives without fault
  • Returns of items that have been installed, modified, or used beyond initial inspection
  • Returns initiated more than 7 days after delivery
  • Items returned without prior written authorisation from 730design

ControlFix and Keystone Accessories

ControlFix and keystone accessory products are not custom-manufactured to individual specifications. However, the same inspection and contact timeline applies — please report any issue within 7 days of receiving your order.


Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer except where the return is due to a fault or error on our part, in which case we will provide a return shipping label.
