ControlSurface: Mounting Directly to Joinery, Stone, and Timber

Not every installation calls for a panel on a desk. Reception counters, custom joinery, stone benchtops, architectural millwork - sometimes the panel needs to sit directly on the surface itself, not on a separate mount beside it.

That's the brief behind ControlSurface. Where ControlBase brings a panel to the operator on a desk or worktop, ControlSurface mounts it directly onto joinery, stone, or timber - a low-profile bracket that sits as an extension of the surface, not a utility back box.

Profile-matched, not generic

Each ControlSurface bracket is profile-matched to a specific panel, the same design philosophy as ControlBase, just without the desktop stand and weighted base. The bracket mounts through-hole directly into the substrate, using fixing points built into the bracket base. Surface fixings themselves aren't supplied - the right fixing depends on what you're mounting into, so that choice sits with the installer.

Same materials, same fixing standard

ControlSurface uses the same two material systems as ControlBase. Gallery finish - glass fibre reinforced composite with a satin clearcoat - in Arctic White, Luna Grey, or Obsidian Black. Core finish - carbon fibre reinforced composite, no clearcoat, the material itself is the finish - in Anthracite Black.

Fixing points use the same embedded brass thread standard throughout the range: metal-to-metal fixing, rated for repeat removal and reinstallation. M3.5 fixing screws are supplied as standard.

Where it fits

ControlSurface suits installations where a recessed or desktop position isn't appropriate - reception desks, custom joinery, and architectural interiors where the detail matters and a wall-mounted panel or separate desktop stand would be the wrong call.

The range currently covers Dynalite, Pathway, and Pharos and ETC Mosaic panel formats, in configurations matching the equivalent ControlBase bracket for the same panel.
