ControlBase Stage: Built for the Operator Position
Share
Live production and touring environments put different demands on hardware than a boardroom or reception desk. ControlBase Stage is built for that context - designed around the LSC WPX, and around the reality of a control position that gets packed up, moved, and set up again.
Recessed, not proud
The WPX is designed for wall installation. ControlBase Stage brings it to the operator, with the panel body recessed into the housing - only the edge of the WPX bezel frame sits proud of the bracket surface. That protects the panel body while still presenting the display cleanly and keeping it fully accessible at the operating position.
Built for the environment, not just the panel
Where the standard ControlBase range uses Gallery finish for boardroom and reception environments, ControlBase Stage is Core finish only - carbon fibre reinforced composite, with a curved edge geometry engineered for robustness in technical and production environments. The curved profile resists impact and distributes load across the bracket edge, rather than concentrating it at a corner. No clearcoat - the material itself is the finish, available in Anthracite Black or Graphite Grey.
The same fixing standard applies throughout the range: embedded brass threads, metal-to-metal fixing, rated for repeat-use serviceability. M3.5 screws are supplied as standard, with 6-32 UNC thread variants available on request.
Landscape and portrait
ControlBase Stage is available in both landscape and portrait orientation, matched to the WPX's own landscape and portrait fixing hole positions - landscape at 83.3mm fixing centres, portrait at 60.3mm.
Connectivity for a mobile setup
A keystone backplane accepts any standard Cat6 keystone insert for pluggable RJ45 connectivity, or a cable grommet for permanent wiring - the panel can be disconnected and relocated without cutting cables, which matters when a rig gets struck and re-set at the next venue. An EtherCon backplane is available on request for PoE installations wanting a locking connector.
As with the rest of the range, a weighted base with a permanently bonded internal ballast keeps the centre of gravity low for stable single-handed interaction, and replaceable isolation feet protect the surface underneath.
